EFCC's Magu Finally Reacts To Petition Written Against Tinubu's Bullion Van
Ibrahim Magu, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)‘ acting chairman, ignored a question on the petition against Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over alleged cash-laden bullion vans traced to him.
Recall that in February, pictures of two bullion vans being driven into Tinubu’s Bourdillon residence in Lagos on the eve of the presidential election went viral on social media.
Tinubu had claimed, however, that the money being carried by the bullion van belonged to him and were not ballot papers or money for vote-buying.
“Excuse me, is it my money or government money? So, even if I have money to spend in my premises, what is your headache?” he said.
While talking with journalists today at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, Magu avoided questions regarding the issue.
“You want me to talk about a petition here? Next question, please,” he said.
